Abstract

8-Hydroxyquinoline or oxine is a complexing agent which can form complexes with all metal ions in the nonpolar state. Because of the ability of oxine to form metal-oxinate complexes, it is difficult to perform  qualitative and quantitative analysis if one sample contains many metal ions. The purpose of this study is to obtain the optimum conditions for the formation of compounds of Ca-Oxinic and Mg-Oxinic complexes. The reaction between Ca2 + and Mg2+ ions forms a yellow chelate complex. The results of the study showed that the Ca-Oxinic complex compound gave maximum absorbance at a wavelength of 450 nm. The optimum concentration of Ca-oxynat complex formation was 15 ppm with optimum pH of Ca2+ 4 ion with stirring time for 20 minutes and achieving stability of complex formation in 45 minutes minutes. While the compound Mg-Oxinat complex provides maximum absorbance at a wavelength of 455 nm. The optimum concentration of the formation of Mg-oxinate complex was 20 ppm with the optimum pH of Mg2+ 4 ions with stirring time for 20 minutes and achieved the stability of complex formation in 40 minutes minutes.

Abstract

The photodegradation process is a combination of photochemical processes with catalysts which are generally semiconductor materials. One of the photocatalysts that is being developed is zinc oxide (ZnO) in nanometer size to optimize the degradation process of organic compounds. Synthesis Nano zinc oxide (ZnO) can use the sol-gel method, the sol-gel method is the best method in making nanoparticles that produce uniform size and high purity. XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) test results show the size of Nano zinc oxide (ZnO) which is 27 nm. Nano zinc oxide (ZnO) has a band band 3.37 eV so that it is less suitable to be applied to visible light. Therefore it is necessary to do coupling with other metals such as Cu. The results of Nano zinc oxide (ZnO) doped Cu 7% have a low band gap of 2.57 eV so that it is easy to excite valence band electrons to the conduction band.

Abstract

Abstrak - Nanopartikel Fe3O4 dari pasir besi merupakan salah satu partikel magnetik memiliki karakteristik yang menarik seperti sifat kemagnetan, optis dan katalitiknya, serta banyak digunakan dalam berbagai aplikasi antara lain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), pemisah logam berat untuk pemurnian air, hypertemia theraphy system. Namun, nanopartikel besi tidak stabil bila digunakan langsung sebagai katalis, hingga perlu penstabil silika. Sintesis SiO2 pada permukaan Campuran nanopartikel Fe3O4 dan Fe2O3 dilakukan dengan menggunakan nanopartikel Fe3O4 hasil dari pasir besi Sijunjung. Sintesis SiO2 pada permukaan  Campuran nanopartikel Fe3O4dan Fe2O3  dilakukan menggunakan metode Sol-Gel. Sintesis dilakukan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pH (7, 9 dan 11) terhadap keberadaan silika mesopori pada permukaan nanopartikel magnet Fe3O4@SiO2. Senyawa hasil dikarakterisasi menggunakan XRD (X-Ray Diffraction). Keberadaan silika pada permukaan campuran nanopartikel  Fe3O4 dan Fe2O3 mulai teramati pada kondisi pH 11  ditunjukkan dengan adanya puncak lebar dan rendah pada 2θ = 26.  Kata Kunci - Nanopartikel Fe3O4, Fe2O3  dan Silika Mesopori,

Abstract

TiO2 thin layer on ceramic with dip coating method and photocatalyst activity test in humic acid. One of the photocatalysts used for the degradation of humic acid is TiO2, because TiO2 has several advantages, including non-toxic, stable, high activity, relatively cheap and environmentally friendlyThis study was performed using TTIP as a precursor and MEA as an additive in isopropanol. Addition of MEA influences the stability of the titanium solution. Ceramics were coated in a 0.5 M TiO2 solution by a dip coating method, then dried in an oven at 110°C for 10 minutes and furnace at 400°C for 2 hours. The maximum degradation of humic acid during 24 hours is 57.73% and in the form of 3.76% using an 8-watt UV lamp.

Abstract

The aim of this is to determine the efficiency of DSSC by using GMR as a substrat with mangosteen skin s a dyes. Mangosteen skin contains of anthocyanin pigmentd. Based on the light absorption test of mangosteen peel extract dyes it is known that the spectrum of mangosteen peel can absorb light at the maximum 510 nm wavelength with absorbance of 2.8873 A. The results of the conversion of sunlight into electrical energy obtained the highest value at 50% concentration of 0.281%. Whereas at 5 hours time variation that is equal to 1.053% because ZnO paste is soaked for 5 hours with coloring and drops of liquid electrolyte.

Abstract

Research has been conducted on "Design and Characterization of Solar Cells for Copper Oxide Electrode System (Cu2O) Model Pipes in Sodium Sulfate Solution (Na2SO4)". Solar cells (photovoltaic cells) are devices that have the ability to convert sunlight energy into electrical energy by applying the principle of photovoltaic. The principle of photovoltaic is defined as a phenomenon of the emergence of electrical voltage due to the contact of two electrodes connected to a solid or liquid system when exposed under sunlight. This study aims to determine the effect of sodium sulfate electolite solution concentration, the effect of measurement time on the generated current, determination of the concentration of solar cells, and the effect of design on electric current. In this solar cell study, the optimum concentration of sodium sulfate was 0.75 M. The measurement time produced power was at 12.00 WIB, then the stability of solar cells on the fifth day and the optimum design of solar cells was in the design 2. The maximum power obtained is 0.12325 mWatt and the electrode ability to produce electricity per area is 49.938412 mWatt / m2 with. The electrode area used is 0.00246804 m2.

Abstract

Synthesis of Cu doping TiO2 was carried out by sol-gel method, Cu concentration used was 5% calcined at 4000C then characterized by XRD then applied to degrade humic acid using a variation of hours ie 1 to 5 hours, optimum decrease in humic acid occurred at 3 hour which is 52.21%.

Abstract

Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC) is a third generation photovoltaic cell that configures visible light into electrical energy. This  study aims  to make DSSC using GMR as  substrate with spin coating gel solvents and natural dyes from purple sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas L). From  testing the purple sweet potato is known to contain anthocyanin compounds in testing using FTIR and has a maximum wavelength of 525 nm in testing Uv-Vis. From the results of the calculation of efficiency with  immersion obtained at a concentration of 50% the efficiency is 0.19%, while the variation in immersion time is 5 hours of efficiency 0.72%.

Abstract

Mesoporous silica was synthesized using sodium silicate obtained from tuff stones Indarung hills in Padang, Indonesia. Mesoporous silica was synthesized  from sodium silicate and P104 as surfactant in acid condition. The result from characterization using spectrofottometer Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) are shown wavelength at 806 cm-1, 1058 cm-1, 1647 cm-1, and 3476 cm-1 that indicates mesoporous silica.  FTIR data were strengthened using XRD with a wide and low diffractogram at 2θ=22°. The results show that tuff stones have potential  to be used  as a precrusor for synthesis mesoporous silica.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek varisi plat elektroda pada produksi gas hidrogen menggunakan metode elektrolisis. Pada elektrolisis ini digunakan arus dan tegangan tetap sebesar 0.6 Amper dan 2 volt selama 1 jam. Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu reaksi elektroisis terjadi pada plat 8 menggunakan elektrolit aquades, CH3COONa 0,01 M dan NH4Cl 0,01 M  dengan hasil 6 mL, 144 mL, dan 112 mL. Kemampuan petransferan elektron pada setiap elektrolit berkurang pada lapisan plat yang lebih tebal karena tegangan yang digunakan sangat kecil.Keyword : Elektrolisis, Cu-Al, Elektrolit, Arus, Tegangan
